Capturing the fort refers to capturing the home of thought, the source of thought, the switch board of life in the field of awareness - the field of pure awareness itself. Many of these paintings express experiences that I have had in meditation. The purity of the colors and simplicity of the original concept aid in expressing the effortlessness of attaining this experience. The way that the painting draws the vision into the center also shows how these mechanics of capturing the fort work. One follows the path of least resistance to achieve the highest goal.
